Outstanding Ocmulgee experience today….especially since we were the first to arrive in the early morning mist! Without your work, we would never have found this “ Newgrange” of USA! Thank you again…where and when can we see your film?

Hi Terese! That’s so cool - way to go!! The park is easy to hike in half a day or so. Don’t miss Clay Pond which currently has two resident alligators. The earth lodge is great to go inside of and the great temple mound is a must to go on top of. Highly recommend Piedmont Brewery for dinner! Keep in mind the park will be expanding massively if the legislation goes through. Happy to provide further recs etc. Have a wonderful time!

I would say that we all need to lean into lobbying for the legislation given the debacle of the upcoming national administration …..let me know how to help…

And thank you for the terrific tips for enjoying Ocmulgee…it was rainy today when we arrived just before closing today….tomorrow we will take advantage of your excellent suggestions on Day Two of exploring this latest national park!

Thanks Terese! Yes, I totally agree that the more we can push for the park the better. The current plan is that the legislation will be formally introduced next week. After that I'll send out an update with the bill etc. Then it's up to us to call, write, email our congress people to get them to support the bill!

Excited to hear how day two at the parks goes for you!
