Thank you for your steadfastness in reporting. Thank you for your heart and compassion. This is what separates us from these truly alien types that brag about having no empathy. Like a disturbed kid pulling off butterfly wings. I agree we need to lean on the few Repugs that have a heart hidden under mushy fear. Threaten the one thing they value - loss of their seat and “power.”. Long live the NPS and all our beloved stewards!

Thanks Audrey. It's stomach churning. I love this country, but seeing what we've become capable of is really disturbing. I don't know where along the line these people lost their humanity, but I hope we can reclaim our country's.

A really important piece. We are watching the generational demise of the most beloved federal agency in the nation and, even worse, the utter loss of human decency. Thank you for the bravery to stand up and say it. I restacked it and shared it on my social media. -- Jeff

Thank you for your continuous vigilance and care for these irreplaceable parts of our country, and for we the people. I am I’m disgusted, furious, and heartbroken too. Just think, it’s all about turning a buck in the landlord’s domain - no, hands off!

Thank you for getting all this out in the open for people to read and understand the horrible tragedy that NP Employees are being forced to go through. It is a heinous act that the regime has taken to tear people down and humiliate them. Let us stand up and make sure our voices are heard in condemning this action against dedicated, hard working employees of our National Park Service.

Thanks for reading and standing up. This is a tragedy and one that's being carried out with intention and malice. It needs to be denounced loudly.

Can you post a link to the article or memo that requires this action? A quick google couldn’t find anything.

It’s linked in the second sentence of the article as well

Thanks. As an old person I didn’t realize that underlining a phrase denoted a link. Thanks for the gentle education!

I, too, am sickened and disgusted with this administration - more like facism than democracy. Daily, I get angry, sad, and disheartened at the utter cruelty and racism/sexism/etc. shown by fellow Americans. Have I been that blind my whole life to think that we became a better country who actually care about one another? Our country will never be the same again after this reign of terror. I love our National Parks and appreciate all those who work hard to keep them beautiful and accessible to all. Thank you for all you do.

Thanks Frances. It's hard to watch people who've dedicated their lives to serving the public be treated with such cruelty. But we have a responsibility to stay informed and speak out. Thanks for doing your part!

My dad retired from government work. His last posting was with the Department of Commerce. He had worked for USDA and National Archives as well. He was a decent man. It’s so painful for me to read what you have written, given that I have personal experience with government work myself.
