But personally I don’t do well sleeping out in the heat so in terms of hotels so if you can afford the splurge (and splurge it is) I recommend finding a hotel with AC. It’s honestly difficult for me to recommend hotels at the moment. because the prices have gone so wild. When I last visited they were much cheaper – like 70% less. The Westin is a wonderful hotel that I recommend in terms of great quality but be prepared for sticker shock these days. Airbnb is probably the best route currently!!
I believe that might be doable. If you don't get the flu and find yourself in the center of a cyclone! I can send you the American Samoa chapter from my manuscript.
Great recap on your trip. Thanks for all the details. Makes me want to go back and do it little bit differently. We rented an Airbnb sailboat with the captain and crew of one, his wife. It was very reasonable. We never had to get in a car. We just hopped in and around St. John with ease.
The dream! I bet you got to see all sorts of things the average bear misses. What a bucket list trip. I'd love to do something like that at American Samoa...
