If you missed me last week, well, I missed you too! Given some fun personal updates (more on that at the bottom of this note) along with such a slow news week, I figured we’d give the old inboxes a break. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

When describing Mount Rainier, John Muir said it best, “the most luxuriant and the most extravagantly beautiful of all the alpine gardens I ever beheld in all my mountain-top wanderings.” After a decade exploring all the great things to do at Mount Rainier National Park, I can't say I disagree.

Every July my soul starts wandering in the direction of this most heavily glaciated peak (in the contiguous US) – Mount Rainier. I can’t count the number of times I’ve visited this park. In a phrase, “not enough”. There’s just something special about the alpine beauty here that sets it apart from the rest of the Pacific Northwest.
