North vs South: Is One Grand Canyon Rim Better Than the Other?

Happy Friday! Birds are chirping, spring is springing, and earthquakes are quaking (at least for me in NYC this morning!) We recently got a question from a reader about which rim of the Grand Canyon they should visit and which one we liked best. This is a common question we get and for good reason. It’s not easy (or practical) to visit both rims on a single trip to the Grand Canyon (they’re 4.5 hours apart driving) so folks typically have to choose which one is right for them.
Having been to the top, bottom (splashed around in the Colorado fatefully), middle, and all the rims of the Grand Canyon I have to say personally, I prefer the North Rim. But that doesn’t mean it’s the right one for you. Allow me to break down what I like and don’t like about each one.
